Sandy Dandy, Dandy Sandy.....

A tribute to our sweet, sweet Sandy Girl......
She is such a beautiful dog. We are so glad she came into our lives. She is so sweet, sensitive and loving and everything that makes greyhounds great.

Unless she's chewing on a stick....

Or a rib bone!

She absolutely LOVES car rides! She wants to go every time anywhere! Even if we are just going to get the mail! She gets in settles down and relaxes! Every time we take her for a walk, the first thing she does when we get outside the gate is make a b-line for the van! Here she is snug as a bug on a long road trip to NY.

AND She ALWAYS gets the high ground!

Sandy is great with kids! Anyone that has seen her in a parade can testify to that! I wish we had some of the photos people have taken in the parades with her! She always has time to stop for a hug and a picture! Here she is on a walk with our nephew, Brandon.

Chillin' out with our nephew, Alec and his puppy dog Bandit.

"Luke, Does this coat make my butt look big?"

"HAHAHAHA"

Enjoying the fun run at Greyhounds in Gettysburg!

Ahhhh...The world is my oyster! Last time in NY, we took them to a local high school football and track field that was fenced in and let them loose! Boy did they love it! The amazing thing is that until we coaxed them onto the astro turf, they just stayed on the track and ran round and round!

Her innocent "I didn't take the paper towels off the counter and chew them" look. (Don't let her fool you)

Now, Bandit. Listen up! If you wanna be a greyhound...

"Hey Jasmine, I'll race ya to the lobster!"

Retirement is great!

A Birthday Bash!

My little sister and I share the same birthday month.... With the hectic schedules everyone has these days we decided to do a "joint" b-day get together so everyone only had to worry about getting together once instead of twice. So we called up all our family and friends and everyone came over to our house for the day! We had great weather, great food and a good time together. Kevin fired up the grill and we had BBQ ribs, hot dogs, hamburgers, baked beans, potato salad and all kinds of good stuff! We had a full house with 12 adults, 5 kids and 5 dogs!

The birthday cake was from COSTCO and was AWESOME! Our mom added a few nostalgic pictures to add to the occasion......

Bandit, me, my older sister (Cindy) and my best friend (Amanda).....

Sandy was in her usual spot....she LOVES her crate and lays in there a good portion of her time at home....especially when there are annoying adults, crazy kids and that silly puppy that keeps licking her ears....

Old Clayton taking a break and enjoying a nice paw rub from Kevin and my best friends little girl Madison....

Even the dogs got to enjoy in the festivities with a little extra treat of shredded cheese in their bowls!

My nephew Jakob... caught dancing in the dark!

Jasmine takes a swim; Luke and Sandy buy a car; and other Greyhound mis-adventures....

It's been awhile since we have posted so we are trying to catch up! We have had some good times over the last month as you can see from the pics below!
As you can see from our postings, Jasmine and Clayton spend a lot of time at our house! Their momma brings them over almost every weekend for them to release their energy in our big yard. Even Clayton tries to get into the action!! If they could talk, I am sure all their mom would hear all week is "Can we go to Luke and Sandy's? Can we? Can we? huh? huh?"
Well, Jasmine found the pond. This little fish pond was here from the previous owner. We had hoped to restock it but I think at this point all it would be is a sushi bar for the kids! So we have caved and the dogs now have their very own swimming hole. Sandy has gotten in the action too but Jasmine LOVES to be in there! And it isn't even HOT yet! I am sure once the heat comes they will all be taking dips!

Well.... Luke and Sandy got tired of riding around in the back of our little Nissan Maxima. They were ALWAYS complaining that the leather seats were too cold, or too hot....there wasn't enough room.... "Luke is touching me!"..... " Sandy is looking at me!" ......and on and on and on.....so.... after many sleepless nights and countless dog whispers in our ears about getting their own car......we caved......
Amazing, we know... The dogs love it! They have plenty of room and we can now even carry 5 or 6 if we need too! We even went the extra mile and got them their very own license plates.....the are personalized with a very clever wording which you all will see eventually I am sure!!(Sometimes we sit around wondering when the brainwashing actually began)
OH MY GOSH! YOU WON'T BELIEVE IT! CONTACT RIPLEY! SANDY IS ON THE COUCH!!! A rare Sandy sighting.... ssshhhh...... don't let her know you're watching.....

What can we say... it's Clayton... we found him in here... apparently its his new favorite place at our house.... until we turn the water on! = ]

HELP! HELP! I'm being sucked into a hole!!!!
Just kidding.....but check out this awesome hole I dug!!

HEY! Wait! Don't take pictures of HIM!!

Take pictures of ME!!! Yea, check this out, BABY!

Sandy Chillin' with my sisters puppy dog, Bandit. (FYI: Jasmine does not like puppies... although Bandit has not given up on her yet!)

Hello, VAGA? Yea, Hi. I would like to report greyhound abuse....what? yes, against me... why? They don't let me pee in the house, eat the trash or growl at my sister... AND they don't give me enough treats......hello?...hello?.... VAGA?

And what would a Greyhound post be without nap time!

Two Peas in a Pod

For those who don't know...... Our hound Luke (SJ's Limit) and my mothers hound Jasmine (LN Double Play) share the same daddy, Molotov. We are not sure if its the family connection, but whenever Jasmine comes over to play, her and Luke are inseparable! Going through some pictures we started to notice the pattern of Luke and Jasmine. Where ever there is one, you will find the other!
Chillin' on OUR bed together.

Sharing a meal together

Jasmine is notorious for being a chow hound and protecting her food like its her last meal for a week. Luke seems to be the only one that can conquer her!

Hangin' out in the yard.

As seen on previous posts, these two will run and chase each other till they collapse from exhaustion! Luke loves it when Jasmine comes over since he will have a running buddy. Sandy runs some, but bores easily! Jasmine, however, will run until she wears Luke out! Then they will just hang out around the yard.

Fighting over the ottoman.
This is the best seat in the house and they are always arguing over it!
Compromise!

Nap time!
Sometimes they forget it's OUR bed, not THEIR bed!
Just FYI:
My legs are actually under both of them! Being crushed by their bony bodies!
